The House of Representatives just voted on the Stupak Amendment that would bar the use of federal funds for elective abortions (with the usual exceptions). The amendment passed by about 36 votes, as indicated in the title of this blog post.

This is good news.

UPDATE: Later, the House went on to approve the majority party's health bill by a margin of about 5 or so votes. Let us hope that the Stupak Amendment survives the conference dealing between the House and the Senate.
